PNP Gears Up for ASEANAPOL 2026: Executive Director Joins 1st Steering Committee Meeting to Refine Preparations

On April 15, 2025, Police Colonel David Martinez Vinluan, Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, actively participated in the 1st Steering Committee Meeting on the re-preparation for the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) hosting of the 44th ASEANAPOL Conference scheduled for Calendar Year 2026. The meeting was held at the PNP National Headquarters Main Conference Room in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The session was presided over by Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Deputy Chief for Administration of the PNP and Chairperson of the Steering Committee. He was joined by Police Lieutenant General Edgar Alan O. Okubo, Chief of the Directorial Staff, alongside key officials including the Directors of the Directorial Staff and Police Colonel Gemma Cruz-Vinluan, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Secretary to the Directorial Staff.
The meeting served as an important milestone in refining the strategic and logistical preparations for the Philippines' turn to host the prestigious ASEANAPOL Conference. Discussions focused on enhancing coordination and polishing the operational blueprint not only for the main conference, but also for the four significant sideline meetings that will take place alongside the event.
The ASEANAPOL Secretariat conveyed its full support and expressed confidence in the Philippine National Police’s capability to deliver an impactful and well-organized conference. With collaborative planning and shared commitment among all stakeholders, the 44th ASEANAPOL Conference in 2026 is set to be a remarkable platform for advancing regional cooperation, police professionalism, and shared security goals across Southeast Asia.
