On 7th May 2024, The ASEANAPOL Secretariat had attended the DSA & NATSEC Asia 2024 at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. The 18th edition of Defence Service Asia Exhibition and Conference (DSA) and 3rd series of National Security Asia (NATSEC), both extraordinary events scheduled to take place from 6th to 9th May 2024.
The visit was led by Director for Police Services - Assistant
Commissioner of Police Dr. Bakri Zainal Abidin and accompanied by Head of Administrative and Technical Staff - Superintendent Azrul Hisham Mohd Shaffei and Police Services Officer I - Deputy Superintendent of Police Chan Yew Hiok.
The event hosted, supported and co-organized by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Home Affairs, DSA is the biggest and most efficiently organized Defence and Homeland Security show in Asia showcasing world’s most advanced technologies, systems, hardware and electronic warfare that the market has to offer.
On the other hand, NATSEC Asia 2024, is organized by the team of DSA series of exhibitions. NATSEC Asia is set to become a truly dedicated national security show by riding on DSA’s globally recognized VIP delegation management system and is poised to become a truly dedicated national security event with a high quantity delegation delivered throughout the duration of the event.
Both events take place alongside and over 100 companies participating and concentrates on national security which will display hardware sophistication and electronics for the security industry such as policing and battlefield healthcare, Sea-Based platform systems and equipment and also training and simulation systems.
The Secretariat attended the Seminar on Cybercrime and Substance Abuse Consciousness and visited the exhibition. The Secretariat had an invaluable opportunity to delightfully attended this unique and niche collaboration and share knowledge on regional issues and establish mutually-beneficial collaborations in the interest of advancing national and international security with some of the key delegates. The ASEANAPOL representatives also met and talked with ASEANAPOL Member Countries (AMCs) representatives and discussed the ongoing and upcoming activities of ASEANAPOL.
DSA & NATSEC Asia 2024 become a monumental event, shaping the future of Defence and Homeland Security.
