ASEANAPOL joined the 217th Police Day: PDRM Special Dialogue Program 2024

ASEANAPOL Executive Director David Martinez Vinluan participated in this year’s commemoration of the 217th Police Day and the Polis Diraja Malaysia (Royal Malaysia Police) Special Dialogue 2024 program that took place at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hall, Maktab PDRM Kuala Lumpur on March 11, 2024.
The program was inaugurated by the Minister of the Interior, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and was also attended by the Minister of Communications, Tuan Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil, Chief of the National Police, IG Tan Sri Razarudin Husain along with his deputy, DIG Dato’ Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay. The PDRM Special Dialogue 2024 session include a dialogue session, a min exhibition and a networking luncheon, all centered around the themes of Cybercrime and Narcotics.
Transnational organized crime poses an emerging threats to global and regional security, stability, and development. Hence, collaboration and networking are key take away in the dialogue to effectively and efficiently fight against the threats of Transnational Organized Crime (especially: Cybercrime and Narcotics) among ASEAN member countries most especially among the ASEANAPOL members.
