On January 26, 2024, ASEANAPOL Secretariat (AS) received the visit of Mr. Andrew Marriott - Managing Director of Milipol Asia-Pacific in the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, Tower 2, Bank Rakyat Twin Tower, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
ASEANAPOL Executive Director David Martinez Vinluan together with Assistant Commissioner of Police, Dr. Bakri Zainal Abidin - AS Director for Police Services, Police Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Ngoc – AS Director for Plans and Programmes, Superintendent Azrul Hisham Mohd Shaffei – AS Head of Administrative and Technical Staff and AS officers generously welcomed Mr. Andrew Marriott.
The visit was mainly to introduce the company he represents and the services they offer through the conduct of law enforcement expos around the ASEAN area. He also extended invitation to AS and ASEANAPOL member countries on the forthcoming Milipol Asia-Pacific TechX Summit 2024 which will be held in Sands Expo, Singapore on April 3-5, 2024.
Milipol Asia-Pacific is the undisputed platform under the world’s largest homeland security network. Milipol Asia-Pacific and HTX’s TechX Summit have come together to showcase how science and technology is central to enhancing public safety and national security in the Asia Pacific. This landmark event will bring together top government officials, operational experts, industry leaders and academia to discuss the latest solutions, strategies and challenges; share technological trends; and foster greater collaboration within the international Homeland Security community. It will be a platform to share, to discuss and to collaborate.
It is an exhibition, conference and workshop jointly organized by GIE Milipol, Comexposium and HTX under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior (France) and Ministry of Home Affairs (Singapore), with the motto: “Powering Innovation: A Safe & Secure Future.
The visit was indeed fruitful in harmonizing the future collaboration between both parties and looking forward for a better cooperation along good relationship in the future.
