TACKLE WILDLIFE TRAFFICKING IN SOUTHEAST ASIA VIA TRIPOD-2 PROJECT

On 15 January 2024, ASEANAPOL Secretariat, Head of Administrative and Technical Staff, Superintendent of Police Azrul Hisham bin Mohd Shaffei together with Plans and Programmes Officer I (PPO 1), Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh Subramaniam and Freeland met in Thailand to tackle wildlife trafficking in Southeast Asia via TRIPOD-2 project, focusing on training & networking frontline officers. Freeland highlighted their training resources and successful initiatives, while ASEANAPOL discussed their role in transnational crime and collaboration opportunities. Both parties pledged continued support for wildlife protection in the region.
