The 8th Annual International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA) Conference 2019 was held on 11 – 13 February 2019 in Gujarat, India hosted by the Gujarat Forensic Sciences University with the attendance of 90 participants from 38 different countries and 1 International Organization.
This year, INTERPA conference comes with the theme ‘Cyber Security and Combating Cyber Crime’ and sees a total of 8 presentations were delivered in five (5) different sessions during the conference. At the same time, the Executive Board Meeting and General Council meeting was carried out respectively. Thereafter, the 1st Joint Meeting between ASEANAPOL and the INTERPA Executive Board was successfully done in a harmony environment with fruitful discussion. Both sides agreed to forge cooperation and further strengthen networks focusing on training and capacity building. The ASEANAPOL Secretariat participated in this conference and was represented by its Executive Director, Pol. Col. Kenechanh Phommachack, Director for Plans and Programmes, ACP Aidah Othman and ASP for Police Services, ASP Khairul Izham Md Noh.
