VISIT FROM REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FORENSIC MEDICINE MALAYSIA (NIFM)

On 31 October 2018, AEANAPOL Secretariat received a visit from representatives of the National Institute of Forensic Medicine Malaysia (NIFM) led by Dr. Mohd Shah Mahmood (Director National Institute of Forensic Medicine Malaysia), Ms. Jacqueline Rodriguez Fernandez (Regional Forensic Manager, International Committee of the Red Cross, Jakarta), Dr. Ahmad Hafizam bin Hasmi (Forensic Medicine Specialist) and Dr. Chng Kay Ly (Forensic Medicine Specialist). They were welcomed by the Executive Director Pol. Col. Kenechanh Phommachack, Director for Police Services, SUPT. Jim Wee, Director for Plans and Programmes ACP Aidah Othman and other officers of ASEANAPOL Secretariat. The visit was focus on sharing by ICRC on enhancement and further strengthening of the Forensic Medicine Science Network in ASEAN especially on issues relating to dead body management in large scale disaster. ICRC through Dr. Jacqueline also further share on future collaboration among the ASEAN and regional countries.
