The 3rd International Association of Police Academy (INTERPA) Conference 2014

The 3rd  International Association of Police Academy (INTERPA) Conference 2014 was held at The Pullman Putrajaya Lake Side, Malaysia from the 21st - 24th April 2014. The  Secretariat participated at this Conference for the 1st time and was represented by the Director for Police Services, ACP Mohamad Anil Shah and the Director for Plans and Programmes, Supt. Reinhard Hutagaol.



The Conference was chaired by the President of INTERPA Prof. Dr. Remzi Findikli and was officially opened by the Minister of Home Affairs, Malaysia, Dato' Seri Dr. Zahid bin Hamidi. The closing ceremony and Gala Dinner was officiated by the Inspector - General of Police, Royal Malaysia Police, Tan Sri Dato' Sri' Khalid bin Abu Bakar.















The theme of the Conference is "Developement of Teaching Staff in Police Academies" and is a manifestation of INTERPA's vision of :
"Being a global police training cooperation and combination has that brings institution closer to meet, work and wish for the best".
INTERPA currently has 53 member institutions and the member of members in expected to increase in the future.

The Conference was concluded successfully and focused on the following objectives:
  • Discuss Critical issues in police training from the current and future perspective.
  • Discussing effective training methodology toward empowering policing  expertise to manage issues and security threat.
  • Identify initiatives that will be implemented in collaboration program in international policing training for the benefit and interest of the INTERPA members.

The 4th INTERPA Conference 2014 will be held in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E).
