On 24th January 2014 at 10.00 am, representatives from International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) gave a courtesy visit to the Executive Director of ASEANAPOL Secretariat, SAC Pg Dato Paduka Hj Abd Wahab Pg Hj Omar. The delegation from ICRC includes Mr. John-Erik Jensen the outgoing Regional Delegate to the Police and Security Forces whose tenure expires on the 1st of February 2014, Mr. Daniel Agob, the incoming Regional Delegate to the Police and Security Forces and Ms. Norma Abdul Hamid.
The ICRC has enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship with the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) over several years and has provided briefings and assisted with training in relation to international human rights instruments, International Humanitarian Laws and policing standards to police personnel being prepared for international missions.
The courtesy visit ended with a group photo and exchange of plaque between Mr. John-Erik Jensen and ASEANAPOL executive director, SAC Pg Dato Paduka Hj Abd Wahab Pg Hj Omar.
