The visit by Police Senior Supt. Charlo C Collado and Administrative Assistant Mr. Pastor M Reano on 24th April 2013 to Aseanapol Secretariat



The visit by Police Senior Supt. Charlo C Collado and Administrative Assistant Mr. Pastor M Reano on 24th April 2013 to Aseanapol Secretariat was received by Supt Reinhard Hutagaol, the Director of Plans and Programs. Both guests were later ushered to meet the Executive Director, Lt. Gen Sar Moline and all staff officers before they were led to the briefing room.

In his welcoming speech, Lt. Gen Sar Moline stated that the Courtesy Visit was definitely made at an opportune time because the next 34
th ASEANAPOL Conference will be held in Manila next year. He also briefed the guests on the setting up of ASEANAPOL and the job scope of the secretariat.


Lt. Gen Sar Moline also shared with the guests the responsibilities of all member countries and officers of ASEANAPOL to ensure that all issues and concerns raised at the earlier conference are attended to. The important issue raised at the Conference amongst others were the e-ads systems, human trafficking, drugs trafficking and terrorism.


In his return speech, Snr Supt Charlo C Collado emphasized the importance of cooperation and collaboration between all member countries so that effective and speedy tracking can be mobilised to pursue criminals even across the ASEAN borders. Nevertheless, he conceded that there are still incidents where red tape between member countries becomes impediment to the extent that criminals are able to escape and cross over to neighbouring countries.

Snr Supt Charlo C Collado also extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Secretariat for the warm greetings granted to him and his colleague. He hoped that the good relationship that exists between all police forces within the ASEAN will continue.

The Courtesy Visit ended with the token gift of souvenirs to the guests and a photo session with all staff of ASEANAPOl Secretariat.
