ASEANAPOL Anti-Scam Study Visit EP.06 | Malaysia: Learning from the National Scam Response Centre
23 September 2026
Malaysia, 23 September 2026 — The ASEANAPOL Anti-Scam Study Visit continued with a visit to Malaysia’s National Scam Response Centre (NSRC).
The delegation learned about Malaysia’s approach to responding to scam cases, including inter-agency coordination, information sharing, operational processes and cooperation among relevant stakeholders.
Through briefings, observation and direct exchanges with Malaysian practitioners, participants had the opportunity to understand how different agencies work together in responding to scams and to exchange experiences from their respective countries.
The visit provided another valuable perspective for the participants, adding Malaysia’s experience to the lessons already gained in Thailand and contributing to a broader understanding of different anti-scam models across the region.
Different national approaches, one shared regional challenge.
Turning knowledge into action for a safer ASEAN.
