ASEANAPOL Anti-Scam Study Visit EP.03 | Thailand: Learning from Practice
21 September 2026
Bangkok, 21 September 2026 — The ASEANAPOL Anti-Scam Study Visit moved into action with a full day of learning from Thailand’s experience in combating online scams.
In the morning, the delegation visited the Anti-Online Scam Operation Center (AOC) under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), learning about Thailand’s inter-agency mechanisms, coordination and approaches to preventing and responding to online scams.
Following the morning session, participants enjoyed lunch at Krua Sa Ros Jad, a well-established Thai restaurant with more than 30 years of history, offering authentic and flavourful Thai cuisine — another opportunity for the delegation to experience Thailand’s warm hospitality and local culture.
In the afternoon, the delegation continued to the Anti-Cyber Scam Center (ACSC) of the Royal Thai Police (RTP), gaining practical insights into investigation, operational coordination, information sharing and the use of technology in tackling scam-related crime.
Through briefings, observation, Q&A and direct exchanges with Thai practitioners, participants experienced both Thailand’s operational approaches and warm hospitality throughout the day.
Learning from practice. Sharing experience. Strengthening regional cooperation.
Turning knowledge into action for a safer ASEAN.
