05 October 2026
5 October 2026 | Virtual Meeting
The ASEANAPOL Secretariat, led by Dr. Kongkrissada Kittithiraphong, Executive Director, convened a virtual meeting with Member Countries to explain the 99 Networks initiative under the Electronic ASEANAPOL Database System (EADS) and present the Plan of Action to Eliminate Scams (POAES).
The meeting aimed to build a shared understanding of the system and the proposed plan, gather feedback, and identify practical requirements from Member Countries. This consultation supports the stable and sustained operation of EADS, with further improvements guided by the needs of its users.
The 99 Networks initiative provides nine dedicated accounts for each of the 11 Member Countries, covering eight core crime areas and one administrative account. The structure connects designated law enforcement units to facilitate timely information sharing, direct communication and coordinated responses to transnational crime.
Discussions also covered POAES and opportunities for international cooperation, including the UAE Police Cadet Programme and the World Police Summit in Dubai.
The Secretariat will use Member Countries’ feedback to refine the system and plan, improve their effectiveness, and support practical, sustained cooperation against scams and other transnational threats.
Think with Vision, Act with Unity, Deliver with Results – for Together, we keep this region safe.
