ASEANAPOL Anti-Scam Study Visit EP.09 | Singapore — Connecting Law Enforcement with the Wider Anti-Scam Ecosystem
25 September 2026
Singapore, 25 September 2026 — The final country of the ASEANAPOL Anti-Scam Study Visit brought the 36 participants to Singapore’s Cyber Command Center.
The delegation learned about Singapore’s approach to combating cyber-enabled crime and scams, including the use of technology, operational coordination and information sharing.
The session was further enriched by external experts from the banking sector and online platforms, who joined the exchange and shared their perspectives, experiences and practices in preventing and responding to scams.
This provided participants with a broader view of the anti-scam ecosystem — demonstrating that effective scam prevention and disruption cannot be achieved by law enforcement alone. It requires close cooperation among police, financial institutions, technology platforms and other relevant partners.
After learning from Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, participants could see different national approaches and identify practical lessons that could be adapted to their own countries.
Different sectors. Different approaches. One shared mission.
Turning knowledge into action for a safer ASEAN.
Together, we keep this region safe.
